About PATHWAYS

 

At PATHWAYS we view what we do as a ministry as much as a business. After twenty years of church ministry, the owner noticed a consistent desire and need among the senior citizens he served every week. The desire was to maintain their independence and stay at home as long as possible, but their need was regular and flexible assistance in order to make this possible. Normally that meant reaching out to family, friends, neighbors, or even their church family to help them. And though each of these groups were happy to help when they could there consistently seemed to be two problems. Number one, those who wanted to help weren't always able to when the need came up. The second problem was that the senior in need of the help always seemed to feel hesitant or even guilty for inconveniencing someone to ask for help. ​

Not only did we see firsthand the need for the seniors personally but also their families. Children and grandchildren of aging parents and grandparents who were consistently concerned that their family members were ok, weren't going to get hurt trying to do things they shouldn't do, weren't being taking advantage of by someone offering services they didn't really need, or just concerned about them being all alone.

It was after twenty years of seeing and experiencing this that PATHWAYS was formed. We are a family owned and operated Chirstian business in the Shenandoah valley. Our goal is to help seniors, and their families find the pathway that will bring them independence, peace of mind, and joy on thier journey. We do this by offering a uniquely flexible plan that fits each individual or families needs. Do you need help in your home with routine needs like cleaning and organizing or maybe just occasionally as needs arise like moving heavy objects, climbing ladders. Do you need help outdoors with various needs like weeding, yard clean-up or care? Maybe its snow removal or leaf clean-up. The list of the services we offer is almost endless. This is what sets us apart. We don't just offer two or three services like most senior care and home care providers. It's our desire to be the only company you will need to take care of every regular need that arises and provide trusted recommendation to companies that take care of things that we can't.​
